Banner Day

I thought about painting this scene all summer, as the grasses grew in our back few acres in Mills River, NC. We were waiting for the local farmer to come and gather the grasses into hay. I finally sketched then painted this piece the day before the farmer arrived! I really love the colors, which remind me of the coming fall. We live on Banner Farm Rd, hence the name "Banner Day." It is framed in a lovely mahogany colored wood frame.
